Dear Colleagues,

Stop to land take is a crossover goal in the light of sustainable urban and spatial planning. It is important to put on evidence studies, Researches, Plans and Project for a sustainable spatial development, in the light of future Common strategies, in the World Arena. New elements for a scientific debate are rising from the Global Agreement on Sustainable Development Goals. More in detail, the implementation of Sustainable development goals:

  • – Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11),
  • – Climate Action (SDG 13)
  • – Life on Land (SDG 15)

require a significant contribution by Urban Management. Economies of Cities are often affected by the well-known conflict between nature preservation and urban development. The editors invite researchers, practitioners and academics to contribute to our special issue, telling their experiment, policies, research.
